In 2009 The Chestnuts became the Highly Commended Award Winner of the South East of England Sustainable Tourism Category at the Tourism ExSellence Awards. Linda and I  picked up the award at a prestigious dinner at The Wentworth Golf Club.

Thank you for such an incredible venue! The Chestnuts is absolutely stunning! We were expecting it to be lovely from the website photos but it far surpassed our expectations. Everything is finished to such a high standard and the village of Shilton is adorable (very friendly locals in the pub). It really didn't matter that it was raining (constantly!) because the cottage is so cosy and well equipped. The pub is only a very short dash away too, so we coped very well! We will definitely stay again. Thanks again and I hope that you have the success you deserve letting the Chestnuts.  

We spent a lovely weekend at The Chestnuts. The garden is fantastic! What a nice way to spend a sunny summer afternoon.

We fell in love with the cottage at first sight and couldn't have wished for a better place or location. None of us had visited the Cotswolds before, but now we don't want to leave!

Thank you so much for the cottage over the weekend. We had an amazing time and we were able to really relax, make good food in the gourmet kitchen and drink good wine. Shilton is one of the best Cotswold villages I have seen yet and the house is a perfect mixture of luxury and comfort.

It is without question, the loveliest cottage we have ever had the pleasure to stay in.

It's the best ever holiday cottage we have been to and we'll be coming back. I just love the combination of Old Cotswold village with chic interiors.

It was even better than expected! We are used to cottages not matching expectations but this surpassed our expectations.
