We are thrilled to announce that The Chestnuts has became the Highly Commended Award Winner of the South East of England Sustainable Tourism Category at the Tourism ExSellence Awards 2009. Linda and I recently picked up the award at a prestigious dinner at The Wentworth Golf Club.

Thank you for such an incredible venue! The Chestnuts is absolutely stunning! We were expecting it to be lovely from the website photos but it far surpassed our expectations. Everything is finished to such a high standard and the village of Shilton is adorable (very friendly locals in the pub). It really didn't matter that it was raining (constantly!) because the cottage is so cosy and well equipped. The pub is only a very short dash away too, so we coped very well!
