Guest comment - What can I say? We had such a fantastic time at The Chestnuts. Everyone loved it - adults and children alike.
The interior design, decor, furnishings and garden are stunning. The white washed walls and stone make it such a relaxing environment. Even though we were 10 people, the rooms/ garden seating areas are so well organised that we never felt on top of each other. You could have a few people reading in the living area while others were cooking or enjoying a glass of wine in the garden. Our every need was anticipated. We really cannot think of anything to change or improve.
This is easily
one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in.

The Guardian Travel Section (Saturday 6/4/13) Inside the three bedroom property all is calmness and serenity, with flagstones floors, a woodburning stove, underfloor heating (one of several eco features) and clean white walls offset by exposed stone and wooden beams. If the setting is historic, the styling isn't. Furnishings are crisp and modern with a leaning towards luxury (wine glasses are Riedel, the kitchen is home to a Gaggia espresso machine, smellies are organic and there are toys and books for children, plus cot and high chair.
